Summer is Heating Up - And So Are Our Camps and Clinics!
Welcome to Will2Win Athletics, a premier provider of recreational camps, clinics and instructional/educational programs in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Our progams are action-packed, affordable and fun for children of all ages! (We even have tennis and running programs for adults!) Many of our students return season after season. Nothing is more gratifying than seeing returning students improve their games, or having their younger siblings join us for the first time. We look forward to having you join us in 2010!

KEEP IN MIND THAT MANY PROGRAMS FILL UP, SO REGISTER EARLY. REGISTER ON THIS SITE'S SECURE REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT CENTER OR BY CALLING 484-535-1140. EMAIL OR CALL US AND WE WILL EMAIL YOU A REGISTRATION FORM TO REGISTER BY MAIL. REGISTRATION FORMS ALSO AVAILABLE AT SOME TOWNSHIP RECREATION OFFICES.
Note: Initial rankings are random and designed to encourage lots of challenges. Any new participants after June 10, 2010 will be placed at the bottom of the ladder and will have to work their way up. Anybody who spends six consecutive weeks at the top of their ladder will be bumped to the next highest ladder. Participation is free for all current and former W2W tennis students. For non-students, there is an annual $20 fee to cover administrative costs. You may challenge the person (or team in doubles) one or two spots above you. You must accept a challenge from the person (or team in doubles) one or two spots below you. You can only have one uncompleted challenge at a time; so if somebody challenges you and you still have an outstanding challenge match to complete, you cannot accept the challenge. Likewise, you can't challenge anybody if you have an outstanding challenge to complete. Matches will be played at a site and time mutually agreeable to both parties. The challenger provides a new can of balls for the match. All scores should be emailed to tennisladder@will2winathletics.com within 24 hours after match completion. Ladder will be updated every Sunday beginning June 13. The person at the top of each ladder on the Sunday before Labor Day will be the Summer champion. The ladder will then resume in the Fall. If you are challenged, you have 10 days to complete the match (although please try to play it as soon as possible). If you cannot meet the challenge within the 10 days, you forfeit the match. All matches will be best-of-three sets. Let the games begin!

YOUTH TENNIS UPDATES
APRIL 17 UPDATE: Our late winter-early spring season finished in Phoenixville. All our students excelled in drills and games on the final day, overcoming some strong winds. Pictured is Kurt Geissler, 5, of Phoenixville hitting a volley. Notice how he is stepping with his left foot and keeping his eye on the ball. Fine form, Kurt!
MARCH 20 UPDATE: Thanks to the gorgeous weather over the weekend, we moved our indoor tennis clinics outdoors for the first time this year. For many of our new students, it was their first time playing on "real" tennis courts. The sun and the courts were to everybody's liking as some outstanding performances were given by students in all age groups. One of the highlights of the day was Kurt Geissler, 5, of Phoenixville making it Around the World on his first attempt by hitting SEVEN CONSECUTIVE SHOTS! Victor Liu, 5, of Collegeville, was nervous about attempting to hit a backhand for the first time. But after several minutes of practing the new shot he drilled a great shot over the net that almost knocked the coach's glasses to the ground! Queen of the Court was a real battle in the Silver class as Alice Liang of Audubon, Alyssa Sharma of Phoenixville, Angelina Boettger of Pottstown, and sisters Alexandra and Gabrielle Perrotto of Phoenixville all hit excellent shots.
MARCH 7 UPDATE: The warmest day of the year so far featured our hottest competition of the Winter session. Justin Marino had the best day of his young career, hitting numerous backhands and forehands -- some on the run -- to keep rallies going. He proved very difficult to knock off the King side of the court. Other students who participated in long, well-thought-out points were Abigayle Knapp, Sophie Collet and Dylan Eliasson.
Joleah Marchionne, 4, of Phoenixville has been named Will2Win Tennis School Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 17. Marchionne is as enthusiastic as young tennis players come. She "discovered" tennis during a clinic at her preschool and progressed rapidly over a recent six-week clinic. She has developed a good forehand and net skills and continues to improve her backhand. Joleah is an energetic people person, which might explain why her favorite tennis game is Dungeon -- a game in which players must free their teammates from the dungeon by successfully hitting multiple shots in a row. Joleah freed her teammates several times. Congratulations, Joleah!

Email your answer to customerservice@will2winathletics.com by 5 p.m. Friday, April 9 for a chance to win a W2W Tennis Tote Bag. The answer: Like McEnroe and Connors, Abigayle and Alice play left-handed. Be sure to check out this section every week for a chance to show off your tennis knowledge and win great prizes such as hats, t-shirts, free lessons, and other prizes.
